Thousands of dogs and cats are homeless all across the U.S. and stray pets can be found almost anywhere you go. This is a problem that we need to fix in order to decrease the number of euthanizations because of overcrowding and under funding. This topic interests me because I have a dog and I think that there are very simple solutions to help eliminate the number of homeless cats and dogs. I think this is an important issue because we all see this issue in our lives, whether we just see it on the news, or we feed a dog that lives down the street. We should care about this issue because it is our duty to protect these precious animals and keep them from harm. To help eliminate the number of homeless animals we can spay or neuter our pets, adopt from shelters and not breeders because there are already too many pets in the world, and donate to places such as Saving Lives Clinic who offer low cost or free spaying and neutering services. Together we can eliminate the number of homeless cats and dogs.
