So I had typed this beautiful essay about food desserts and was getting ready to hit the button to publish it and oops, my internet crashed and my essay was gone so welcome to food deserts take 2.
Food deserts are an issue all over the US and More than 410,000 people live in 171 food deserts across North Carolina alone. Food deserts are an issue that interests me because I have seen the effects of them first hand. I volunteer for an organization called Family Promise of Wake County that offers temporary housing and other services to help get families back on their feet. We always make sure to provide balanced meals because a lot of these families have experienced food deserts. People that struggle with food deserts are all around us people that are in your class or on your soccer team and that does affect us in our communities. Despite all of this we can help abolish food desserts by donating to the food bank, volunteering with the Brown Bag Ministry (bring healthy lunches to homeless people on the streets and in shelters), or at a soup kitchen. So, don't say that these problems are out of you reach because they are really not and anyone can help

This is actually really good! I like the way you used experiences that you had and it shows how you can help out as well as different organization nearby.

You did a good job with your bog because it a very relevant topic that affects so many people. I liked how you said that there are people that I know that are affected by this. It is so sad knowing this and also knowing that we waste so much food in just one year that could be going to the people in need.
